Personal Philosophy
Happiness and Meaning: Personal
Philosophy Project Credo and Proposal
Essential Questions:
-What is the purpose of your existence?
-How do you define or find happiness?
-How do you define or find meaning in life?
Part I: Personal Philosophy Credo
The purpose of my existence is to make a change. It is to find my place in the world and take it by storm. I want to change somebody’s life for the better and provide a positive element to the world as a whole. I believe that it will require being the best person that I can be and to let go of negative thoughts that affect my happiness. I want to learn how to be thankful and content with everything that I have instead of wanting more.
My happiest moments tend to come in extreme opposites. On one end, I find happiness in the simple things like hugging my family, laughing with my friends, or being completely stress free reading a book. On the other hand, I have found a different sort of happiness when I am pushing myself. Like when I biked the White Rim with zero experience, or when I am backcountry skiing. I don’t think that happiness can be placed under a specific definition because of how much it can vary among each person. It can be defined under a general idea but not person is going to have the exact same definition when it comes down to it. If somebody asked me to define my version of happiness, I would say that happiness is when I am in a state of complete calm and content and I have no worry or harsh thought pressing down on me; when I can laugh and smile easily.
I think a meaningful life is when you are living with awareness and when you are living true to yourself. When somebody molds to be like whoever they are around I think that it takes away meaningfulness because that person is most likely not doing what actually makes them content in life. Also, living with awareness means that you can acknowledge that you’re really not all that but that you can still do what makes you happy and what is most beneficial to you.
Part II: Inspiration Wall
Picture of Mt. Rainier because it represents challenge yet staying true to yourself and your origins. The challenge comes into play because I believe that in order to find your true self you need to test your limits and see what makes you thrive and what makes your life meaningful. Part III: Project

Proposal
- My personal philosophy credo is
that you need to stay true to yourself but still challenge your limits in order
to find what that truth really is.
- I was thinking about doing
something with photography.
- It represents myself by the style
of art that I have and it would enable to try more photography which I
absolutely love doing.
- I want to leave them thinking and
I want it to make them questions and think about what their credo would be and
what is significant to them.
- An art gallery style-pictures
that I took that went in order with what my credo is and how it was developed.
- I will encounter the obstacles of
not having the resources I need to get a specific style of picture.
- It will take a good while,
probably close to two months to get all of the pictures needed.
- Help keep my sanity intact.
